Accused Waqar ul Hassan Shah appeared at CIA Model Town police station, refusing to plead guilty
LAHORE: Waqar ul Hassan Shah, an accused in a motorway abuse case, has appeared in the police station. According to media sources, accused Waqar ul Hassan Shah appeared at the CIA Model Town police station but refused to plead guilty. It has been reported that the accused Waqar ul Hassan Shah said in his statement that he did not commit any crime.
According to police, the accused Waqar ul Hassan Shah belongs to Qila Sattar Shah area of Sheikhupura. It should be noted that the main accused in the motorway rape case is Abid Ali while the other accused was identified as Waqar ul Hassan Shah who is a resident of Changa Manga.
Earlier, the preliminary investigation report of the motorway abuse case was submitted to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar. In the report submitted to the Chief Minister, it was informed that an accused was identified in the motorway abuse case. The accused is a resident of Abid Ali Fort Abbas. The accused already has a criminal record where the DNA of the accused matched with the 2013 database, but the accused Abid Ali has not been arrested yet. Action is being taken by the CTD for this purpose.
It may be recalled that earlier a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister in which Punjab Provincial Law Minister Raja Basharat, Chief Secretary, IG Punjab and Additional Chief Secretary Home also participated. Reviewed On the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar said that the accused involved in this tragic incident will not escape punishment, will not leave China until justice is provided to the affected family as it is the responsibility of the state to provide immediate justice to the victims. Punjab Police will provide services till the deployment of Motorway Police.
