Disagreement in PDM over date of Quetta rally: JUI and PK Map adjourn till October 18

ISLAMABAD: Disagreements have emerged in the Pakistan Democratic Moment (PDM), an alliance of opposition parties against the government. According to reliable sources, the PDM disagreed on the date of the meeting in Quetta.

Sources said that PPP has reservations about the date and organizational structure of October 18. PPP celebrates Martyrs' Day on October 18 and this time it has been decided to hold a meeting. But for the convenience of all, the changed opposition alliance is in the national interest. It will be saved and carried forward at all costs.

Hopefully, like other issues, this issue will be resolved in the steering committee today. It may be recalled that on September 29, the PDM had announced to hold its first meeting on October 11 in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. Will be held in Quetta to which Maryam Nawaz, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Bilawal Bhutto will address. A meeting of the PDM's steering committee will be held in Islamabad today to take a final decision on the date of the meetings, which will consider the political situation in the country and the future strategy of the opposition. The steering committee will finalize the protest movement program. The formation of PDM structures at the provincial and district levels will be considered.
